Investigations & Lawyer Services
These services are offered to a single client in various circumstances. They are typically provided to a law firm for its own benefit, or on behalf of an institution or employer client with a multi-faceted problem, usually bearing some element of fact-finding and an associated proposed remedy as the deliverable.
I point to two exercises that may assist consideration of my suitability to conduct your investigation. First, already referred to, is the study I conducted for the Minister of Labour to investigate and propose remedies to mitigate the intractable conundrum of work stoppages in federally regulated private institutions. The entirety of the report speaks for itself.
Another significant investigation involved a dysfunctional governmental legal division, the details about which I am not at liberty to discuss except in these general terms. Upon its conclusion, the Deputy Minister thanked me for the report, indicating that he agreed with its findings and would attempt to implement its recommendations.
Additionally, several of the decisions discussed at the Arbitration tab further demonstrate my facility of translating evidence into factual findings. Admittedly, these situations were in assessing evidence presented to the Court. Nevertheless, how they were assembled and displayed in conjunction with the issues, is an aptitude similar to that required for writing up an investigation.
Apart from investigations, and then only on a selective ad hoc basis, I may be retained to assist lawyers in offering insights intended to enhance the development and presentation of their case. I will commit to this service where I conclude that I may add value. However, my comments will be limited to positive, or legitimate defensive advice.
